The Philharmonie Luxembourg, one of the leading concert halls in Europe, opened in 2005 and presents around 400 concerts each year, encompassing a wide range of genres such as classical, jazz, and world music. In addition, the venue offers an extensive educational program of the highest quality tailored for young audiences and schools. The Philharmonie Luxembourg is responsible for the management of Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra.

Position

The Education department creates, produces, and promotes +/- 200 performances for young audiences per season, thematic festivals for young people as well as a diverse participation, learning and community music program.

The Project Manager Education will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Autonomously manage concert productions for young audiences. This includes tasks such as organizing and managing production logistics, planning travel and rehearsals, designing and administering contracts, communicating with artists, agencies, and partners, and overseeing events on performance days
  • Design and implement participatory music education projects, school initiatives and workshops
  • Collaborate closely with the head of the education department to support and contribute to various music education initiatives and agendas

Profile

  • Academic background or relevant qualifications in project management, arts management, music management, musicology, or music education
  • Prior experience in project management within the field of music education or the performing arts
  • Strong organizational skills, displaying a sense of responsibility and reliability, along with a positive and professional work approach
  • Interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Passionate about music education and highly motivated to contribute to the success of the educational program
  • Fluent command of at least two of the three following languages: German, French and English
