Your tasks
- As part of a team of four, you will participate in the research activities of the project, which aims to provide a digital edition and transdisciplinary research of the Codex Buranus (Munich, Bayerische Staatsbibliothek, Clm 4660-4660a) and related sources of the Carmina Burana.
- Your work will focus on writing a doctoral thesis in the thematic area of the project.
- In parallel, you will work on the edition of the corpus of the Carmina Burana, in close collaboration with colleagues in the project team and with the project partners.
The position is limited to 4 years.
Your profile
- You have a Master's degree (MA) in either Literature, Linguistics, or Musicology with a focus on the Middle Ages.
- You are interested in the musical poetry of the Middle Ages.
- You are familiar with digital humanities.
- Knowledge in Latin is desired, knowledge in Middle High German or a willingness to learn it is welcome.
- You are fluent in spoken and written English and have a good knowledge of German; any knowledge of French or Italian would be an advantage.
